Christmas Eve Part 2

After an early yummy dinner at Dad and Mom's, we went to our church's Christmas Eve candlelight service.  Then, went back to their house for dessert and our traditional opening of gifts with the family.  This year was even more special because we got to celebrate sweet baby Beckham's first Christmas!

We are so very blessed!

Christmas Eve Part 1

The kids had been counting down to Christmas and FINALLY the big two days arrived!! On Christmas Eve morning we went out to breakfast with Uncle Joe. The boys were happy they got to ride in his new pickup because there was a t.v. in it!

After breakfast, we headed to Dad & Mom's for our traditional day of baking and frosting sugar cookies.  There were lots of sugar consumed throughout the day and everyone had a great time!
Kristiana has a tendency to eat more frosting off of her knife than actually frosting the sugar so, she always get her very OWN frosting, cookies and knife :)
The kids were big helpers this year! They learned how to roll and cut out the dough.

Downtown Caldwell Festival of Lights

As in years past, we enjoyed an evening walking around the festive downtown Caldwell Christmas light display!  Unlike years past, this year the weather was actually semi-warm and we didn't freeze the whole time :)

 A special visit from Santa!

The colorful lights are just so amazing and it never grows old! We love it!

Town of Bethlehem

We enjoy our holiday traditions however, it's also nice to experience new things!  This year we spent an evening in Eagle at a live Bethlehem and Nativity scene.  One of mom's co-workers had told her about it and, it was held at a Seventh Day Adventist church. The church's whole front lawn area was turned into a real live town of Bethlehem!  We enjoyed it all!  It was a busy market place set during the time of the census.  The kids enjoyed each tent...  there were fruit and veggie stands.  Along with carpenters, baskets weavers, a wool spinner and of course, the Inn that was already full.  And, of course, the stable with baby Jesus. The most popular animal there was the camel!

Christmas with Joe

Christmas began a little early for us when we got a special visit from our favorite Joe! Everyone is always so happy whenever he stops by.  He stayed with us Tues night and, took us all to breakfast the next morning at the Sunrise Cafe before heading to the ranch in J.V. In celebration of his new pickup, we gave him a customized "Chevy Sanitation Kit" for Christmas :)
