Grand Teton Half Marathon, Jackson Hole Wyoming

The first weekend in June (June 5-7) mom and I headed to Jackson Hole, WY., for the Grand Teton Half Marathon.  We had been looking forward to this event for months!  We stayed in the Village, at a hostel, just outside of town and nearby the event.  The whole area was absolutely beautiful!!!
Upon arriving Friday afternoon, we picked up our race bibs and checked out the area of our hostel.  The Village is a resort type of place... skiing in the winter and hiking/biking in the summer.

The race began early Saturday morning.  It began in a recreational area and finished at the Grand Teton Golf Course.  The course was quite difficult due to higher elevation and the slight climb.  All in all, mom and I both placed in the top half for our age group!

It was an experience I'll never forget!  The views of the Tetons during the race were breathtaking and the overall race was a fun time.
