Happy 60th Birthday Dad!!

Oh how I love my dad!!  He's not only my father but my friend!  It was an honor for me to be able to host his 60th birthday party on January 29th.  For months Jake and I planned a big party for him with family and his close friends invited.  It was a fun evening filled with laughter and the making of terrific memories.

 Dad's favorite German Chocolate Cake
Aunt Debbie came over before the party to help me prepare the food.

 Bubba sure loves his Papa!

Dear friends,  Paul & Rachel Larson

More Birthday Celebrations!

In the following days we were able to celebrate Katie's birthday even more!  We did a fun girl's day on Saturday.. meeting Nana and her friend Jayden at the mall.  However, first she got her hair cut and styled at the salon!

Lunch at Jimmy Johns with Nana, Jayden and myself
We had a wonderful afternoon shopping at the mall.... wondering around the stores and eating yummy treats.
For dinner we met Papa and the rest of the family at Red Robin... our birthday favorite!
On Sunday we invited our friends, the Fisks, over for lunch and another little celebration for Katie.  She and Emma enjoyed spending time together! THEN, the big surprise when her dearest friend, Janelie, surprised her and showed up from Moscow to spend the night!   Katie was SO happy to see Nelly that she cried!  These two girls are definitely going to be friends forever!  The end to a terrific birthday week!!

Happy 10th Birthday, Katie!

Katie Rose turned 10 years old and I can't believe how fast she's growing up!  We celebrated her special day in a couple of different events.  She woke up on her birthday to donuts and a few presents.. then, it was off to school!

For her birthday lunch, Kristiana and I picked her up from school and took her to her favorite Panda Express.  Poor girl was still recovering from the stomach flu so, she could only eat a little bit.  But did enjoy her leftovers later on....
Her sweet Auntie Ri baked her favorite cupcakes again and, all of Katie's classmates loved them!!!
Elle got to come over after school and hang out...

Papa and Nana gave Katie her very own 1st BB gun!

Nana and Papa came over for her requested (and favorite!) dinner of spaghetti... We love you Sis!!

New Year's Ollie Bolen 2016!

To kick off the new year, Marie and I continued our tradition of baking ollie bolen and, inviting friends and family over to share! This year we held our open house at her house and, it was a huge success!  There were a total of 6 batches made... 3 apple, 3 raisin and they were loved by all.

Jackson got to experience his first bit of Dutch heaven ... yum!!

 Love his smiles!
