Sledding

~ Sledding ~
After opening gifts we headed up Bogus Basin Rd and went sledding for a couple of hours. It was a beautiful day to be outside and we found a great sledding hill!

Casey used his knee board to pull Kristiana up and down the hill... worked perfectly!
My dad and Leon blazed new trails on their snowshoes...

LOVE the views from Bogus Basin Rd.  We had a fun, memorable Christmas and are thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives!

Christmas Day

~ Christmas Day ~
My parents arrived for breakfast around 9am and, after eating, the kids opened their gifts under the tree!
My mom found this BIG Minnie at Costco!  She's the same size as Kristiana and, Kristiana loves her!

This was the year of the "Legos" and "American Girl" accessories for Saige! We are truly blessed!

Stockings

~ Stockings ~
Per tradition, the kids to get open their stockings as soon as they wake up on Christmas morning.  This keeps them busy for a little while so I can finish getting breakfast on the table :)

Every year my parents fill our kid's stockings.  This year my mom got Saige her own stocking... along with new matching pj's for her and Katie.  It was quite cute :)

Happy Birthday to Trenton!! At the breakfast table awaited his birthday gifts from Casey and I.  He also enjoyed our traditional birthday donuts! (along with a big breakfast of 2 different quiches, fruit and zucchini bread)

Christmas Eve

~ Christmas Eve ~
After decorating Christmas cookies, we were joined by Jake, Krystal and Leon (our newly adopted family member!) for dinner.  Mom and I had cooked 3 different kinds of soups, with bread and goodies.  It was yummy! We then went to the Christmas Eve church service at my parent's church. I grew up going to Christmas Eve candlelight service at my grandma's church and totally LOVED doing this.  Now, its nice to be able to take our kids to the same sort of "Carols & Lessons" service!
We arrived home around 7:30, ate dessert and got to open gifts!

Kristiana had so much fun opening her gifts this year! She laughed, squealed, ooh'd and aah'd about everything!

Dad was pretty happy about his new helmet camera :)

Cookie Decorating

Christmas Eve afternoon we went to my parents and decorated sugar cookies.  This is sort of a tradition that my mom started years ago with my cousins kids and, now continues on with our kids! We frosted and decorated the cookies and, made hand dipped chocolate pretzels.

Kristiana had a blast "helping" us this year :)

Trent's Surprise Party

Sunday afternoon we threw Trenton a surprise birthday party! His 5th birthday was on Christmas Day but, he had been asking for months for a "surprise party" so we decided to hold his party the weekend before Christmas.  Casey took him to the store while the kids and I quickly got ready for his party! Then, his friends (and their families) and my parents showed up just in time for Casey and Trent to arrive home.  Casey sent Trent downstairs, where we jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE!" and yes, he was shocked, scared, excited and surprised all at once... the look on his face was priceless!
Friends at his party were: Grayson, Kelaya, Dillon, MaKenna, Ava and his siblings...

He wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates birthday however, he wanted a Planes cake so... it was a multi-themed party :)

Happy 5th Birthday, Trenton!! We love you!!
